WE ARE STARTING A *NEW* REVIEW ROUND OF THE 24 SHORT FORM. Some prior Tai Chi experience is required.
Whether you are at the beginning of your Tai Chi journey or have already had some prior experience learning Tai Chi - our Beginner class is a great way to try Tai Chi for the first time or to see if you can build or expand on what you already know and then join an adequate class level in our curriculum.
Take the first step and join our friendly group and embark on a journey of growth, joy & discovery.
This class will introduce the beautiful Yang Style 24 Short Form which is one of the most widely practiced Tai Chi forms around the world as well as the 8-Brocade Qigong Set (also known as the 8 Pieces of Brocade or 8 Jewels).

Tai Chi Impressions: Tai Chi students practicing in front of a temple in China.
The Yang style is characterized by evenly paced, soft flowing movements which are almost 'zen-like' distilled in their postures and transitions - while also offering a myriad of delicate intricacies within the execution of each move, transition or stance. The gentle physical requirements of Yang style Tai Chi make it suitable to a wide audience in regards to physical requirements as well as age range.
The 24 Short Form introduces the primary stances and principles found in Yang style Tai Chi and provides a great stepping stone to all the other forms in our curriculum and to Yang Style Tai Chi in general.
The 8-Brocade Qigong Set is one of the most commonly practiced forms of Qigong around the world. Qigong is a centuries-old Chinese health/exercise regimen that tries to harmonizes body, mind and spirit and cultivates, enhances, and guides vital internal energies to achieve health, vitality, and spiritual awareness.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to start learning Yang Style Tai Chi from the very beginning with a group of peers where everyone is starting at the same level rather than being put into an existing Beginner class that already is in session for months.
While the class is already in session for a few weeks you still can join, catching up with the group as we go along or you could also opt for an hour-long private introductory session with Andreas to more easily integrate into this on-going Beginner class.
Since this class started in June a good Yang Tai Chi foundation is required to join the class at this point in time - please make sure to contact the instructor before attending class.
You could also opt for a few private sessions with Andreas to more easily integrate into this on-going Beginner class. Private session slots can be shared upon request (max. of 2 students). If you have a good Tai Chi foundation and are a fast learner you are of course also welcome to try to merge right in, and with a little patience and practice following and catching up with the existing group as we go along.
It usually takes a Beginner group around 6 months to master the Yang Style 24 Short form so that a brand new evening Beginner class most likely won't be scheduled before the start of the new year. A Friday morning Yang Style Beginner class is currently forming.
If you are interested in future classes please subscribe to our mailing list so that we can keep you up-to-date with our newest class offerings or contact the instructor.
Since the class is already in session for some time some prior Tai Chi experience is required to join the class at this point in time - please make sure to contact the instructor before attending class. If you prefer you could also wait to join a new Beginner class that starts from the very beginning though a definitive date has not yet been set for such a class. Alternatively you also could opt for an hour-long private session with Andreas ($85) if you feel that this could be helpful for you to more easily integrate into the on-going Beginner class. Private session slots can also be shared (max. of 2 students) upon request. Of course you are also welcome to merge right in, and with a little patience and practice following and catching up with the existing group as we go along.
30-minute private session slots ($40) to review specific form sequences, going through questions to details and/ or reviewing & refreshing new material are also available upon request for current & new students.
